About

Meet Eliesha

As an Indo-Caribbean therapist and first-generation professional, I understand the complexities of navigating multiple worlds.

My practice is built on the belief that our roots, inherited and chosen, are the foundation of our resilience. That lived experience is at the heart of how I show up for my clients.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed through New York State, with a Master of Social Work from Adelphi University. My clinical training gave me the foundation, but it's the cultural expectations, family patterns, and unspoken stories I've carried myself that shape the way I practice.

I specialize in generational trauma, perinatal mental health, and supporting individuals and families navigating systems that weren't always built with them in mind. Your healing is shaped by your story. It happens in the context of who you are, where you come from, and what your family has been through.

I believe therapy should feel like a space where your full identity is welcome. Whether you're a new mom struggling in silence, an immigrant trying to find your footing, or someone ready to parent differently than you were parented, I'm here to walk alongside you.

Services

How I Can Help

Perinatal & Maternal Mental Health

Support for every stage of the motherhood journey, from trying to conceive, through pregnancy, postpartum, and well beyond the two-year mark. You don't have to navigate this alone.

Individual Therapy

One-on-one counseling for adults working through generational trauma, cultural identity, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Together, we'll uncover patterns and build new ones.

Group Therapy

Facilitated group sessions designed specifically for the perinatal period, connecting mothers in a shared, supportive space. There is power in realizing you're not the only one feeling this way.

Family & Parenting Support

Breaking cycles starts with awareness. I work with parents who want to do things differently, offering tools and techniques rooted in compassion rather than repetition of old patterns.

Bereavement Counseling

Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and no two losses look the same. Whether you’re mourning a loved one, processing pregnancy loss, or navigating a life transition that carries deep grief, I provide a compassionate space to honor what you’ve lost while finding your way forward.

Community

Who I Work With

I work with people whose stories are shaped by culture, family, and the systems they navigate every day.

Mothers & Expecting Parents

From fertility journeys to postpartum and beyond. Motherhood doesn't come with a manual, but it shouldn't come with silence either.

Immigrant & First-Generation Communities

Navigating life between cultures brings unique challenges. I offer a space where your background isn't something to explain, it's something that's understood.

Trauma-Informed Care for Children & Families

I have extensive experience working within the foster care system and advocating for trauma-informed care for children and families navigating these complex systems.

Community Advocacy

Advocacy is central to my work. I'm committed to showing up for communities that have historically been overlooked by traditional mental health systems.
